Job Description:
This position is an optical / optical systems engineer who is needed for the role of lead optical engineer developing proposals and products involving IR detectors and systems. POSITION TITLE: Optical Engineer TECHNOLOGY: EO/IR sensors, electro-optic systems, IR Optical Systems. JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide leadership of the Electro-Optical team in the design optical and electro-optic systems for military technology and product lines. Specific roles include: * Optical and optical systems design; * Lead all optical engineering functions in the development of optical, electro-optic, infrared imaging systems; * Assist upper management on business development plans, and lead and support bid and proposal efforts; * Working on projects from inception at the concept development stage to completion at the product delivery stage; * Playing a primary role to develop designs and products to meet customer specifications and need; * Developing technology and product concepts; * Developing proposals and assisting in the development of new business; * Developing designs and prototype products; * Assisting in the manufacturing and manufacturing processes to complete the projects; * Ensure the development of marketable, affordable, and producible products which meet demand performance and cost requirements.

Job Qualifications:
1. BS (MS preferred) in Optical Engineering or Physics. 2. 5 or more years experience as an optical engineer a. with strong experience developing electro-optic imaging systems, EO/IR sensors, IR detectors, … b. and with strong experience developing military proposals and products. 3. Experience with optical design tools such as Zemax, CODE V, Matlab, MathCAD, ….
