Job Description:
POSITION: Director of R&D Engineering – Laser and Electro-Optical Systems LOCATION: Massachusetts COMPANY INFORMATION: This position will work with a company that develops military laser and electro-optical systems – including electro-optical sensor systems, infrared and spectral imaging systems, directed energy and high power laser systems, and smart weapon systems. POSITION BRIEF: Director of R&D Engineering to develop advanced laser and electro-optical systems. This position will perform engineering management roles on programs for the development of electro-optical sensor systems, infrared and spectral imaging systems, directed energy and high power laser systems, and smart weapon systems. This position will lead projects end-to-end – from proposal and design, through prototype development and analysis, to product development and manufacturing. This position will lead multiple development projects covering the range of the company’s technology and product areas. This position will perform roles covering the range of the company’s business development and technology development needs. Candidates for this position must have extensive experience with the design, development, and manufacturing of electro-optical sensor systems, infrared and spectral imaging systems, directed energy and high power laser systems, and smart weapon systems. Candidates for this position must have strong experience managing R&D and product development efforts. Required: BS/MS/PhD in Engineer or an equivalent technical discipline; plus strong industry experience, including experience on military/aerospace development programs.
