POSITION: Director of Business Development for military electro-optical systems programs TECHNOLOGY: Electro-Optical Infrared Systems and Components LOCATION: Virginia / DC area COMPANY INFORMATION: This position will work with a company that develops military electro-optical imaging systems – including infrared and spectral systems. RECRUITER INFORMATION: The Electro-Optics Group is a division of the recruiting firm, The Photonics Group, which recruit engineers nationwide for companies that design and manufacture optical, electro-optic, laser, and imaging systems. Recruiter contact information is: nlasky@mri-rtp.com POSITION BRIEF: Director of Business Development to develop business in the electro-optical imaging and sensor systems industry. * This position involves business development, proposal development, marketing, and program management electro-optical systems for military programs. * This position is responsible to develop new business and market current technology and products. * This position is responsible to develop business in the domestic military, international military, and domestic homeland security industries. * This position will work with engineering, manufacturing, and management to ensure that existing contracts are met according to customer requirements and satisfaction. * This position will work with upper management in developing new technology and business ideas. * This position will be responsible for assisting technology development and production. REQUIREMENTS: * BS in Engineering. * Must have strong experience in business development and proposal development in the military DOD community. * Must have strong experience in business development and proposal development of electro-optic and infrared systems. * Must have some experience in program management of military programs for the development of electro-optic technology and products. * Must have some experience in technical development of electro-optic products. * Must be US Citizen with current or prior security clearance.
