Job Description:
Provide day-to-day supervision in the execution of product line production plans and be responsible for achieving production goals of new and established products. Assist with the planning and coordination of personnel, equipment and facilities across departments to achieve overall production goals. Analyze problems and implement countermeasures to improve department performance. Resopnsibilities: * Provide leadership and motivation, by example, to personnel and support functions to achieve monthly production goals. Manages all facets of manufacturing, including human resource management, inventory management, equipment and facilities management. * Provide information regarding and maintain compliance to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. * Monitor work output in terms of speed and quality. * Assure quality is built in to products (minimizing rework or errors) through training, team management, and motivation for quality. * Interact with operations functions to support manufacturing, including product management, engineering, production planning, quality, accounting, and materials. * Assist in setting reasonable periodic (monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.) goals that achieve the desired aligned company results. * Assist in forecasting needs and requirements in order to execute long-term, quarterly, and annual production plans. * Assure that required materials are available at each work station well ahead of time; address shortage or problems early so as to minimize impact on production. * • Assure the machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained, calibrated and documented for efficient production. * Consistently pursue the development and adoption of lean manufacturing techniques to minimize resource requirements while maximizing production output. * Develop and implement production activities and methods that reduce bottlenecks and maximize production throughput. * Work with Quality Assurance team to identify manufacturing root cause and take all necessary actions to eliminate all identified production problems.

Job Qualifications:
* BS Degree in engineering, technology or manufacturing management * 3-5 Years supervisory experience in a technology manufacturing environment * Prior experience in a laser diode manufacturing environment
