Company Brief:
Manufacturer of high performance electro-mechanical and electro-optical components and sub-assemblies to the aerospace, defense, electronics capital equipment, graphic arts and medical imaging markets needs for one or more Opticians for our IR Systems division NorthEastern Massachusetts. This facility produces precision infrared and visible optical components for use in high-end military and commercial applications.

Job Description:
Produce lenses to quarter-wave or better by conventional grinding and pitch polishing in infrared optical materials such as Germanium, Silicon, ZnSe and ZnS. Additional positions with this client: Operations Manager CNC Machinist (no optics experience required) Polishing Manager Diamond Turning Machinist

Job Qualifications:
Experience and ability to produce small prisms and operate multiple polishing spindles a plus. The individual should be experienced using optical shop equipment such as dial indicators, micrometer gauges, drop gauges, test plates and interferometers.

Location:   Northern Massachusetts

Salary Range:   50-60K
